Passport is a valuable document. It should always be either under self custody or in the custody of a person duly authorized. Loss or damage of passport should be reported to the local police authority immediately and then to the Bangladesh High Commission.
A PHOTOCOPY OF THE PASSPORT SHOULD BE KEPT IN A SAFE PLACE. THESE STEPS ARE NECESSARY BEFORE ISSUANCE OF A DUPLICATE PASSPORT.
